Privacy policy

• Accounts. When your company uses LoadoutGuard, we store the name, email address, role, and (if given) mobile phone number of each person your company adds, so they can sign in and get the alerts your company set up.
• Equipment and truck data. The tags on your equipment and the gateways on your trucks report which tagged items are aboard and where the truck stopped, so we can say where something was last seen.
• Pilot request submissions. When you submit the "Request a free pilot" form, your name, work email, company, number of trucks, and phone (if you give one) are saved in our database, and a copy is emailed to our sales inbox so someone can follow up.
• Text messages. See Text messaging (SMS) below.
• App notifications. If you use the LoadoutGuard mobile app, we store a push notification token for your device so we can send the alerts you turned on.
• Anonymous visit and event counts. We count page views and a few actions on the website (opening the pilot form, sending it, entering or running the demo) to see which pages help. Each count records only the event, the page path, which button was used, and your country. It has no cookie, no IP address, and no ID, so it can't be tied to you. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we don't count you at all.
• Demo state, in your browser only. The product demo keeps its state (resolved alerts, reassignments, preferences) in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device. A small cookie (lg_demo) records which fictional demo company you're viewing; it contains no personal information.

LoadoutGuard is designed to track company equipment, not employees. Truck gateways record where a truck stops so the system can say where a piece of equipment was last detected; that's what makes an alert like "left at 148 Oak Ridge Dr" possible. We don't track personal phones or devices, and the product isn't meant to monitor individual crew members.

LoadoutGuard Alerts sends equipment alerts to crew leads and managers who opted in, and one-time sign-in codes to people who ask for them. The SMS terms describe the program, the opt-in, and sample messages.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent collected for LoadoutGuard Alerts are not shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share them only with the service providers that deliver our messages (such as our SMS provider), and only to deliver them.

For texting, we store:

• your mobile number, your name, and the company whose alerts you signed up for;
• the record of your consent: when you signed up, the IP address and browser you used, and the exact wording you agreed to; and your consent status (opted in, opted out) and when it changed, including any STOP or START reply and when it arrived;
• a log of texts sent to and received from your number, with delivery status. Sign-in codes are not stored in this log: we record only that a code was sent.

We use this only to send the texts you agreed to, honor STOP and HELP, show your company whether its alerts reached you, and show that consent was given. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or START to opt back in.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that run LoadoutGuard for us, and only as needed for that job: our hosting and database provider (Cloudflare), our SMS provider (Twilio), our push notification provider (Google Firebase), and the cellular and device-cloud services that carry data from truck gateways. Within a customer company, the people your company gives access can see its equipment, alerts, and the replies crew leads send.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

We keep account, equipment, and alert data while your company uses LoadoutGuard, and delete it when the company closes its account, except where we must keep it longer by law. Message logs are kept as long as they're needed to run the service and answer questions about delivery. Consent records, including opt-outs, are kept after an account closes so we can show consent was given and keep honoring a STOP. We haven't set fixed deletion periods yet; when we do, we'll list them here.

• Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts from us. Reply HELP for help.
• Turn app notifications off in the app or your phone's settings.
• Email support@loadoutguard.com to see, correct, or delete your information. If your company added you, we may ask your company to confirm changes to its account.
