Delete your LoadoutGuard account
Last updated October 5, 2026
LoadoutGuard is operated by General Resistance, LLC (generalresistance.com). This page explains how to delete your account in the LoadoutGuard app (for Android, by General Resistance, LLC) and on the LoadoutGuard website, what's deleted, and what we keep and for how long.
Delete it yourself
Deleting your account is immediate and can't be undone.
- In the Android app: sign in, open Settings, tap Delete my account, and confirm.
- On the website: sign in at loadoutguard.com, open Settings → Users → Your profile, choose Delete my account, and confirm.
Two cases have to be sorted out first, and the app or website tells you which applies:
- If you're the only owner of a company that still has other people in it, make someone else an owner first (Settings → Users), then delete your account.
- If your company has a paid plan, email support@loadoutguard.com so we can end the plan and close the company. We finish within 30 days.
Or ask us
Email support@loadoutguard.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. If you sign in with a phone number, email us that number and we'll text it a one-time code to confirm it's yours. We finish within 30 days and reply when it's done.
What's deleted
Right away:
- your name, email address, mobile phone number, and profile;
- your sign-in sessions, so you're signed out on every device;
- your membership in each company, and any pending invitations to your email address;
- your app's push notification tokens and your notification preferences;
- crew lead records linked to your account, which are retired so alert texts to you stop;
- the link between you and any equipment sightings your phone reported (the sightings stay, anonymous).
Your account can't sign in again. Your email address or phone number can be invited again later, as a new account.
If you're the only person in your company, the company is deleted at the same time, with its data: trucks, equipment, tags and truck unit assignments, alerts and their history, crew leads, the message log, settings, places, and after-hours data.
In a company that keeps using LoadoutGuard, its history stays (for example, that an alert was acknowledged), but it shows "Deleted user" instead of your name.
What's kept, and for how long
- Text message consent and opt-out records for your number: kept for 4 years after the last text to that number, so we can show consent was given and never text a number that opted out.
- The audit log of changes in a company that continues: kept by account ID, with no name or contact details, for as long as that company's account exists.
- Billing records and invoices (held with our payment processor, Stripe): kept as long as tax law requires, generally 7 years.
- Database backups: kept for up to 30 days, after which deleted data is gone from them too.
Stopping texts
Deleting your account stops alert texts that go to you through your account. If your company also has your number on a crew lead record that isn't linked to your account, texts to it keep coming until you reply STOP. Anyone can reply STOP to any LoadoutGuard text to stop all texts from us.
