How we estimate this
- Replacements you could avoid = lost items per month × 12 × share never recovered × average equipment value. This is the only figure we count as savings.
- Equipment riding on your trucks = crews × tools per crew × average equipment value. It's what's at risk, not savings.
- Annual retrieval labor cost = lost items per month × 12 × retrieval trip hours × crew members per trip × hourly labor cost.
- Plan: the smallest plan that covers one truck per crew. Hardware: one gateway per truck ($99) and one tag per tool ($15), bought once.
